Aluminum window and door frame painting

Impact window and sliding door frames refinished on site and masked clean to the glass.

Frames fade and chalk long before the windows themselves wear out. Refinishing them changes how the whole elevation reads, often from tired bronze or white to a crisp satin black.

Every pane, gasket and sill is masked first. We clean off the chalky residue, sand, prime and apply multiple spray coats for a uniform finish that stops exactly at the glass line.

Process

How the finish is made

On site, without removal. Expected finish life in South Florida: 7–10 years.

  1. Inspect

We assess the existing coating and note oxidation, chalking and peeling.

  2. Clean & sand

Dirt, salt and loose paint come off. Rough areas are sanded smooth.

  3. Mask & prime

Glass, stone and surrounding surfaces are masked. A bonding primer made for metal goes on first.

  4. Finish coats

Multiple spray-applied coats build an even, uniform finish.

  5. Walkthrough

We clean up completely and review the work with you before we leave.

Questions

Window & door frames: common questions

Will paint get on the glass?

No. Glass, gaskets and sills are masked before priming, and the masking comes off only after the finish coats are done.

Can you paint impact window frames?

Yes. The frames are cleaned, sanded and primed for metal before the finish coats go on.

Can I change the color of my frames?

Yes. Black, bronze and white are the most common choices. Condo owners should check association rules first.
