Aluminum painting in Fort Lauderdale

Canals, docks and waterfront homes. Railings, fences and frames refinished in place.

Fort Lauderdale is laced with canals, and many homes back directly onto the water. Dock and seawall railings, pool fences and large sliding door frames are all exposed to salty, humid air.

Downtown and along the beach, the work shifts to condominium railings and commercial storefronts.

Process

How the finish is made

Salt is washed out of every joint before priming. Expected finish life in South Florida: 7–10 years.

  1. Inspect

We assess the existing coating and note oxidation, chalking and peeling.

  2. Clean & sand

Dirt, salt and loose paint come off. Rough areas are sanded smooth.

  3. Mask & prime

Glass, stone and surrounding surfaces are masked. A bonding primer made for metal goes on first.

  4. Finish coats

Multiple spray-applied coats build an even, uniform finish.

  5. Walkthrough

We clean up completely and review the work with you before we leave.
