Aluminum painting in Bal Harbour

Oceanfront condominiums and a quiet residential village behind them. Railings, frames and gates refinished on site.

Bal Harbour pairs oceanfront condominium towers with a residential section of private homes along the water. Owners and associations expect work that is quiet, clean and finished to a high standard.

On the oceanfront side, balcony railings and window frames see constant salt exposure. In the residential section, gates, fences and dock railings are the usual projects.

Process

How the finish is made

Salt is washed out of every joint before priming. Expected finish life in South Florida: 7–10 years.

  1. Inspect

We assess the existing coating and note oxidation, chalking and peeling.

  2. Clean & sand

Dirt, salt and loose paint come off. Rough areas are sanded smooth.

  3. Mask & prime

Glass, stone and surrounding surfaces are masked. A bonding primer made for metal goes on first.

  4. Finish coats

Multiple spray-applied coats build an even, uniform finish.

  5. Walkthrough

We clean up completely and review the work with you before we leave.
